Larry and Valerie, I know this time of year is bittersweet, my comfort from many of your Mom's great insight on life, her cooking and sense of humor. She was a beacon in your life and the life of others, even though we are miles away you both are in my prayers.

I remember as a kid walking from Commack to Kings Park with father going to my Aunt Janets house in Kings Park; her cooking was phenemonal and she graciously gave me her cheesecake recipe. I have many fond memories when she graciously was there for me with the passing of my Dad in 1987. She was a solid force in my life.

Dear Family of Janet, I'm so saddened by her passing. I didn't expect it. I met Janet through EGA and Smithtown Stitches. She was such a talented needle and crafty person. And boy could she cook and bake. I'm sure she handed down her talents. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was loved and will be missed by many. I wish I could have been there. Lynn Bryan

Dear Valerie and family, So sorry about the loss of your mother. She and you were such a part of my life and the life we all knew on Thistle Lane. I am sorry I can not be athe viewing but know I am there at heart. So glad our moms spent time together in their later years. I know how sad my mother is today about not seeing her friend again. Story shared: Circus Trip

My Aunt Janet was the first person to ever take me to the circus. Just she and I (I was four, maybe five years old) took the LIRR into New York City to Madison Square Garden to see Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. So wonderful; the three rings,each with their own separate show going on, all at once. The clowns, the acrobats, the animals (especially the elephants!) were so exciting. So nice to have her all to myself for that day. I'll miss you, Aunt Janet. Love, Pete
